Office policy as approved by the CC in 2003: Use of the SFGP office by other groups: The SFGP office is a resource that other organizations may seek to utilize from time to time. This is a good way for us to build and maintain relations with other progressive organizations and initiatives. The SFGP office is the located on the ground floor of an affordable housing unit run by Mercy Housing. Anyone in the SFGP office has access to the community room and other public areas within the housing complex. Most of the residents of this complex are immigrant senior citizens. It is important for us to maintain good relations with our co tenants, and for us to be mindful of the security of not only our own office, but that of the entire building. For this reason, we must have clear guidelines about who is given access to the SFGP office. 1) The SFGP will not host any organization or effort that contradicts the mission of the SFGP or Green Party's 10 key values. 2) The SFGP office will not be used by any political campaign unless this effort has been explicitly endorsed by the General Membership or CC. 3) Any effort using the SFGP office or other resources must advance the goals and mission of the SFGP in a tangible way. 4) Other organizations wishing to use our office must be sponsored by an active working group of the SFGP and be working in coalition with this WG. 5) Access to the office will be limited to authorized key holders only, and the key holder (ideally the chair of the sponsoring WG) must be present for the duration of the office use by other organizations. Active members of the SFGP working on other initiatives outside of the SFGP working group tasks will be asked to keep their use of the office and other SFGP resources in line with the policies outlined above.
