Name of Campaign Manager: TBD
How much do you expect to spend in this contest: TBD the campaign will rely primarily
on grassroots fundraising and small donors.
Major Endorsements: None at this time.
1) What is the core message of your campaign?
My campaign is about restoring democratic accountability and shifting
national priorities toward people rather than entrenched political and
corporate interests. Congress must refocus on strengthening public
institutions including transit, housing, education, and scientific
innovation while protecting civil liberties and democratic
participation. I believe voters deserve representatives who are
independent, transparent, and willing to challenge the status quo when
it no longer serves the public.
2) What policy positions and goals do you hold that most distinguish
you from other candidates in this contest?
I strongly support redirecting federal priorities toward long-term
public investment: infrastructure, transit, climate resilience, science,
and technology leadership. I also support structural democratic reforms,
including stronger campaign finance reform and expanded use of
ranked-choice voting. Finally, I believe Congress must exercise far
stronger oversight over military spending and foreign policy decisions
to ensure that American resources are used responsibly and in ways that
promote peace and stability.
3) Should the US continue providing weapons or other support to Ukraine? Please elaborate on what you would or would not vote for.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine violates international law and Ukraine has
a right to defend its sovereignty. However, prolonged military conflict
also risks escalating instability. U.S. policy should balance defensive
support for Ukraine with sustained diplomatic efforts aimed at ceasefire
negotiations and long-term peace. I would support humanitarian and
defensive assistance while insisting on strong congressional oversight,
transparency, and diplomatic initiatives that reduce the likelihood of
indefinite war.
4) Should the US continue providing weapons or other support to Israel?
Please elaborate on what you would or would not vote for.
The United States should prioritize diplomacy, human rights, and
long-term peace for both Israelis and Palestinians. Congress must
exercise stronger oversight over military aid and ensure that U.S.
support is consistent with international law and humanitarian
principles. I support humanitarian assistance, diplomatic engagement,
and serious efforts to achieve a durable political settlement that
protects the rights and safety of civilians on all sides.
5) Do you support abolition of ICE? How would your stance on funding
"homeland security" agencies differ from your opponents, and from
Democratic Party leadership?
Our immigration system requires major reform. Enforcement agencies must
operate transparently and respect due process and civil liberties. I
support restructuring immigration enforcement to prioritize humane
treatment, efficient processing of asylum and immigration cases, and
community safety rather than excessive detention and punitive
enforcement. Funding priorities should shift toward immigration courts,
legal processing capacity, and policies that reduce humanitarian crises.
6) How will you work to redirect federal funding away from military
contractors and towards public benefits such as public education,
public transit operations, etc?
Congress must conduct rigorous oversight of defense spending and
eliminate wasteful programs that do not directly improve national
security. Even modest reductions in unnecessary military spending could
allow significant investments in public transportation, education,
climate resilience, scientific research, and infrastructure. These
investments strengthen the country economically and socially and produce
far greater long-term benefits for the public.
7) What electoral reforms do you support?
I support expanding ranked-choice voting, independent redistricting to
prevent gerrymandering, and exploring public financing models that
reduce the influence of large donors in federal elections. Increasing
transparency in campaign funding and lowering structural barriers for
new candidates to run would strengthen democratic participation and
competition.
8) Please describe how you make your political decisions.
My decisions are guided primarily by the long-term public interest,
informed by input from constituents, credible research, and consultation
with community organizations, workers, experts, and local leaders. I
believe policy decisions should be evidence-based, transparent, and
responsive to the needs of the communities we represent.
9) What is your plan for working with other political parties once in
office?
Effective governance requires cooperation across political differences.
While maintaining clear principles, I believe members of Congress should
work constructively with colleagues from all parties when there are
opportunities to advance policies that benefit constituents and
strengthen democratic institutions.
10) How would you describe your leadership style?
My leadership style is collaborative, pragmatic, and transparent. I
value open discussion, diverse viewpoints, and evidence-based decision
making. At the same time, I believe leaders must be willing to take
clear positions and accept responsibility for their decisions.
